A full repositioning of canadacloseouts.com from a generic dropshipping storefront into a wholesale supply site built for market and booth vendors. Here is what changed, and what still needs the team.
The old homepage spoke to a shopper. The new one speaks to a reseller: one source, priced to resell, restocked weekly, built by vendors. Modeled on the reference site (Everful), in the Canada Closeouts brand.
The catalogue was not neglected. Images were strong, descriptions were long. But every word sold to the person who would use the product, not the person who would resell it. A vendor literally could not place an order from it.
Live and free to add to cart. Price them or unpublish them.
Not one of 495 products has a sale price set. “Price Drops” and “Deal of the Week” currently promise savings nothing delivers.
Operations must confirm we can hit it, or we soften the copy now before the first order.
Highest-leverage fix available: three real quotes from three real customers. Donna (Queen Mary Market) is already up. We need two more.
129 categories with duplicate pairs (Pets/Pet Supplies, Bags/Luggage). Two homepage tiles point at the smaller twin.
A multi-session, full-day effort combining live browser-driven site building with a complete catalogue pass. Quantified by output rather than hours: one homepage rebuilt end to end across dozens of iterative edits, 495 product listings rewritten and individually backed up and checksum-verified, five new pages written, a site-wide announcement bar, a category audit, and a performance audit. (Exact token and billing figures live in the Anthropic usage dashboard; this report quantifies the delivered work instead.)
